U.S. Cell Phone Frequencies and Bands
The major networks in the U.S. belongs to Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. Mobile Virtual Network Operators (MVNO's) sell discounted service on the major carrier cell phone networks. The table below shows which 3G, 4G LTE and 5G bands and frequencies these carriers offer. Figuring out which and how many of these signals your device works on will determine if you can use your phone on the given network and whether you'll have a good experience on that network.

MINT Mobile APN Setup on Android
To set up the MINT APN on Android, enter the settings at:
Android 9: Android Settings | Network & Internet | Mobile Network | Advanced | Access Point Names | 3 dots | New APN
or
Android 12: Android Settings | Connections | Mobile Networks | Access Point Names | Add
or something similar depending on which Android version.
MINT Mobile (November 8, 2022)
Once you’ve activated your plan and inserted your SIM card or installed your eSIM (for compatible phones), complete these steps:
Text SETUP to 6700 to have the correct settings sent to your phone (or just keep reading because we provide them below too)
Go into your phone’s Settings, select Connections, followed by Mobile Networks, then Access Point Names and select Add to enter the following information:
- Name – Mint
- APN – Wholesale
- Proxy – (leave blank)
- Port – (leave blank)
- Username – (leave blank)
- Password – (leave blank)
- Server – (leave blank)
- MMSC – (copy/paste below)

- Multimedia Message Proxy – (leave blank)
- Multimedia Message Port – 8080
- MCC – 310
- MNC – 260
- Authentication Type – (leave blank) [Note: Enter PAP to get rid of those config messages when booting up.]
- APN Type – default,supl,mms,ia
- APN Protocol – IPv4/IPv6
- APN Roaming Protocol – IPv4
Tap the three dots in the top right corner and select Save; ensure that the new Access Point Name is selected and restart your phone
After your phone powers back up, you can test these new settings by sending yourself a picture message.
